The Partners

George Evans George’s practice primarily concentrates on individual and business income tax planning and preparation, as well as business administration and advisory services. George presently serves on the Board of Trustees of Indiana First Savings Bank, where he is Chairman, as a member of the Indiana Healthcare Corporation, as a Trustee and the Treasurer of the Graystone Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund, as a member of Indiana Networking, and as a member of the Advisory Council of IUP’s Eberly College of Business. Prior to establishing Evans & Mack, he served as Vice President and Treasurer of Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Company, having been with R & P in senior financial positions since 1976. Prior to joining R & P, he was an audit manager with the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. A graduate of Waynesburg (College) University, he has been a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania since 1973. He and his wife, Karen, have four children and eight grandchildren		Jeffrey Mack Jeff’s areas of practice in the firm include auditing and review services, personal and business tax preparation and planning, and small business accounting, payroll and consulting services. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1979 he joined the audit staff of a Big Eight public accounting firm. He then worked seventeen years at Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Company based in Indiana, serving as the Corporate Controller at the time it was sold in 1998.  He also worked as a controller at a manufacturing company prior to establishing Evans and Mack. Jeff currently serves the community as an officer on the boards of the Community Guidance Center, the Indiana Kiwanis Club, and Family Promise of Indiana County.  He is a member of the Indiana Healthcare Corporation and Graystone Church where he has served as an Elder and Deacon. Jeff has two children attending college in Western Pennsylvania.
Both men are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and have completed numerous courses sponsored by those organizations to remain current on tax laws, accounting trends, and individual and business financial consulting practices. The firm is a member of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Indiana.
